Sunflower seeds are used to make snack foods, peanut butter alternatives and oil. In agriculture, sunflower seeds are used in livestock feed and bird seed.
We’ve been growing spectacular fields of sunflowers for a few years now and we are proud of the photo opportunity this provides our community and visitors to our community.
Unfortunately, even with a fence and gate around the field, we have been unable to prevent trespassers from entering and touching/cutting our crop. This disrespectful act is not only breaking the law, but severely damages our sunflower field which, in the end, is a crop that we harvest for bird seed.
Visitors are always welcome to view and photograph the sunflowers but, always from outside of the field. Please never assume you are allowed to enter anyone’s private property. Repeated trespassing may force us to discontinue growing this spectacular crop going forward.
